Kanyadan Weddings Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Member") and Kanyadan Weddings ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using any part of our matrimonial platform — including the website, mobile application, and associated services — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
To register and use Kanyadan Weddings, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You must be at least 18 years of age (21 years for males, as per Indian tradition, though the legal minimum is 18 for both).
- You must be a resident of India or a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) of Indian origin.
- You must be legally eligible to marry under the laws applicable to you, including any personal laws (Hindu Marriage Act, Muslim Personal Law, Special Marriage Act, etc.).
- You must not have a living spouse unless you are legally divorced or widowed (evidence may be required for re-marriage profiles).
- You must possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You must not have been previously banned or removed from this platform.
3. Account Registration & Responsibilities
3.1 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information during registration and throughout your use of the platform. Impersonating another person or creating a fictitious profile is strictly prohibited.
3.2 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must not share your account with any third party.
- Notify us immediately at if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3.3 One Account per Person
Each individual may register only one account. Creating multiple accounts for the same person is prohibited and may result in permanent banning.
3.4 Profile Verification
We may require you to verify your identity via OTP, Aadhaar, government ID, or other means. Unverified profiles may have limited visibility.
4. Profile & Content Rules
By uploading content (photos, bio, details) to Kanyadan Weddings, you agree to the following:
- All photos must be genuine photos of yourself. Stock images, celebrity photos, or photos of other people are not permitted.
- Your profile text must be accurate and not misleading.
- Profiles must not contain contact information (phone, email, social media handles) in visible text fields — this is to protect your privacy until mutual acceptance.
- Content must not be obscene, offensive, discriminatory, or violate Indian laws.
- You must not advertise products, services, or escort services of any kind.
- You retain ownership of your content but grant Kanyadan Weddings a non-exclusive licence to display it to other registered members for matrimonial purposes.
5. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Kanyadan Weddings:
- Creating fake, fraudulent, or misleading profiles
- Soliciting money, gifts, or financial assistance from other members
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages or spam
- Harassment, abuse, threats, or hate speech targeting any member
- Using the platform for any commercial or non-matrimonial purpose
- Attempting to harvest or scrape member data through automated means
- Attempting to breach or bypass the platform's security measures
- Sharing or publishing other members' private contact details without their consent
- Misrepresenting your qualifications, income, or family background
- Any activity that violates the Indian Penal Code, IT Act 2000, or Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
6. Premium Subscriptions
6.1 Plans & Pricing
Kanyadan Weddings offers free and paid (Silver/Gold) membership plans. Pricing, features, and validity periods are listed on the Plans page and are subject to change with prior notice.
6.2 Payment
- All payments are processed securely via Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR).
- Subscription fees are charged at the time of purchase and are non-transferable.
- GST and applicable taxes are included in displayed prices unless stated otherwise.
6.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions do not auto-renew by default. You will be notified before your plan expires and can choose to renew manually.
6.4 Premium Features
Premium plans unlock features including (but not limited to): unlimited interest sends, contact detail viewing, advanced search filters, Kundali Milan, and priority profile listing. Features may evolve over time.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Eligible Refund Cases
A refund may be considered in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate payment made for the same plan within 24 hours
- Technical failure resulting in payment deduction without plan activation (verified by our payment records)
- Platform downtime exceeding 72 consecutive hours during the paid subscription period
7.2 How to Request a Refund
Email within 7 days of the payment date with your registered phone number, transaction ID, and reason. Refund requests submitted after 7 days will not be entertained.
7.3 Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days and credited to the original payment source.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Kanyadan Weddings — including the logo, design, code, text, algorithms, and branding — is the exclusive property of Kanyadan Weddings and is protected under Indian copyright and trademark law.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without express written permission.
User-generated content (your profile details and photos) remains your property; you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform for matrimonial purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
Kanyadan Weddings is a platform for introductions only. We do not verify all information provided by members and do not endorse any member or guarantee successful matrimonial outcomes.
- We are not liable for the authenticity, accuracy, or completeness of member profiles.
- We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information found on the platform.
- We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from meetings or relationships formed through the platform.
- To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
10.1 By You
You may deactivate or delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Paid subscriptions will not be refunded upon voluntary deletion.
10.2 By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account — without notice or liability — for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abusive behaviour, or any activity that harms other members or the platform.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Your profile will be removed from public listings. Data retention post-termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11.1 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform, you agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation by contacting us at .
11.2 Jurisdiction
If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. Matters involving consumer rights may be referred to the relevant Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
